Yiwu Gushu 2023

We are delighted to introduce our Yiwu Gushu 2023, an exceptional Pu-erh tea born from our collaboration with the renowned Tea Master Panda. Our quest led us to the legendary tea mountains of Yiwu, where we sourced the finest leaves from ancient tea trees. These centuries-old Gushu trees, some exceeding 300 years in age, contribute unparalleled depth and complexity to this tea. Expertly processed in Yang Ming’s boutique tea factory, these leaves have been transformed into traditional bingcha Pu-erh tea cakes.
The Yiwu Gushu 2023 is crafted from these treasured leaves harvested in the esteemed Yiwu region. This tea exudes the distinctive Yiwu aroma, reminiscent of our highly acclaimed Lucky Bee. Connoisseurs will appreciate the renowned depth and clarity characteristic of Gushu teas, enhanced by a subtle hint of camphor. This tea not only offers a rich flavor profile but also embodies the essence of ancient tea traditions.

About Gushu Tea

Gushu, meaning “ancient tree” in Chinese, refers to tea leaves harvested from old-growth tea trees typically over 100 years old. These venerable trees, deeply rooted in the fertile soils of Yunnan, absorb a wealth of nutrients and minerals, which impart exceptional complexity and depth to the tea. Gushu teas are highly prized for their rich, nuanced flavors, smooth mouthfeel, and the unique character that only centuries-old trees can provide. The rarity and traditional harvesting methods make Gushu Pu-erh teas a treasured experience for tea enthusiasts around the world.

Yang Ming is a dedicated tea farmer from Yiwu, descending from a family with a rich heritage in Pu-erh production. His tea gardens are the source of our beloved Lucky Bee teas. His deep understanding of the local terroir and traditional techniques ensures the highest quality in every leaf.

Tea Master Panda, originally from Sichuan—a detail reflected in his affectionate nickname—journeyed to Yunnan driven by his profound passion for Pu-erh tea. Beyond his tea mastery, he is a distinguished calligrapher and possesses extensive knowledge of Chinese history.
