Yiwu Lucky Bee

Together with our friends, the Tea Masters Yang and Panda we went on the search for the ideal Pu-erh tea leaves. However, far we did not need search as Yang’s tea platation offered this kind of tea leaves. And because Yang Ming doesn’t use pestizides nor artificial fertilizers are especially the bees very happy.

For this bingcha we used 2022 tea leaves from Yang’s tea plantation. These are tea leaves from the same tea bushes that were used for Yiwu Luck Bee 2016, 2017, 2018 and so on but the pressed tea was stored a whole year in Xishuangbanna. The tea is therefore quite ripe compared to a storage in Switzerland.

Certainly interesting to see is how this tea developeds compared to Yiwu Lucky Bee of the previous year.

Who are Tea Masters Panda and Yang Ming?

Tea Masters Panda and Yang Ming are good friends and experts when it comes to Pu-erh. Yang Ming is a local tea farmer of Yiwu and descendants from a family with a long tradition in Pu-erh making. Incidentally, our popular Lucky Bee teas are from Yang Ming’s tea fields. Tea Master Panda is originally from Sichuan (hence the name) and came to Yunnan due his passion for Pu-erh tea. In addition to Pu-erh, he is also a Master of calligraphy and has extensive knowledge of Chinese history.
