Tamaryokucha Ureshino Masterblend
24 CHF
A wonderful Tamaryokucha of the highest quality from Ureshino. Its elegant aromas are accentuated by notes of chestnut, playful umami and a sweet finish. We owe these fine nuances to a well-balanced blend of Yabukita and Okumidori, as well as to the master tea maker’s skilful roasting (hi-ire).
WHAT IS TAMARYOKUCHA?
Tamaryokucha is green tea whose leaves are not rolled into needles, as is the case with Sencha, for example, but whose leaves are curled. Basically, there are two types of Tamaryokucha: One type is the steamed Tamaryokucha like this tea is. The second type of Tamaryokucha is Kamairicha, which is originally heated dry in a wok (kama). Both types of tamaryokucha are now rarely produced in a few places in Kyushu.
