Jing Mai Pu-erh 2016

Over the course of eight careful years aging in Yunnan, our Jing Mai Pu-erh 2016 has gracefully matured, developing a richly layered and complex flavor profile. This thoughtful maturation process enriches the tea’s depth, making it an exceptional choice for Pu-erh enthusiasts. The journey of this tea began on a memorable day when we stumbled upon a vibrant garden of Shengtai tea bushes in Jing Mai. Captivated by the vitality of these sustainably cultivated younger plants, we were inspired to create a Pu-erh that celebrates their unique essence. Unlike teas crafted from Gushu (ancient trees) or Laoshu (old trees), this brew embodies the fresh character and spirited energy of youthful tea bushes thriving in the lush landscapes of Yunnan.

Tea from Jing Mai Bushes

For these tea cakes, we have carefully selected leaves from tea bushes grown in Da Ping Zhang in Jing Mai. Nestled at an elevation of approximately 1600 m, this tea garden benefits from the mountain’s plateau-like summit, ensuring that all tea leaves are cultivated at a consistent high altitude. This distinctive terroir imparts exceptional quality and a unique flavor profile to the tea, reflecting the harmonious balance of nature and traditional cultivation methods.
