Hoshino Sencha Yabukita

The exquisite leaves in this tea were carefully handpicked from the illustrious village of Hoshino in Yame. Translated as “star field,” Hoshino aptly captures the essence of this secluded mountain valley, where the stars illuminate the night sky with extraordinary brilliance. Sencha cultivated in mountain valleys, such as Yame, is a true rarity. The lower temperatures in these regions cause the harvest to commence about a month later than in lower and flatter areas. However, these lower temperatures gift the tea with intensified and intricately layered aromas.

Yabukita cultivar

The Yabukita green tea cultivar was meticulously selected for this tea. Renowned for its refreshing aroma, Yabukita embodies the quintessential essence of traditional Japanese green tea like no other cultivar. Its distinct qualities bring forth a delightful and unmistakably Japanese character in every sip, making it a treasured choice among tea connoisseurs.

Tip: Use rather a higher leaf to water ratio and infuse repetetly for short time. First infusion max. 60s and all futher infusions only 30s as the leaves are already soaked. Use a Kyusu tea pot.
