Tokoname tea cup Junzo

A beautiful tea cup formed by Japanese artist Junzo Maekawa. This artist has been presented with awards for his work at the Choza Prize Exhibition as well as other Japanese contests. Junzo Maekawa uses only natural, mineral-rich clay from Tokoname, which can be fired at high temperatures. The tea cup holds up to 27ml.

Tokoname is one of Japan’s six ancient ceramic centers. High-quality ceramics have been produced here since the 12th century. The clay there, which is particularly rich in iron, can be fired at up to 1200 degrees.
