Tokoname tea cup Isshin

This tea cup was crafted from natural clay by respected Isshin design studio. Isshin was founded in 1980 by Sadao Tsuchihira. The focus of Isshin’s work is on Kyusu and Dobin teapots with ashes as well as Irabo glazes. This cup holds up to 120ml.

Tokoname clay

Tokoname is one of Japan’s six ancient ceramic centers. High-quality ceramics have been produced here since the 12th century. The clay there, which is particularly rich in iron, can be fired at up to 1200 degrees.
