This shincha sencha is grown in the small village Ujitawara. This Sencha is made from the very first harvest of the year. Due to the very early harvest it gets the typical refreshing flavor.
Ujitawara is located in Kyoto Prefecture, not far from Uji. Kyoto is well known as the birthplace of Japanese tea ceremony and also of many well-known types of tea such as matcha and gyokuro.
