This exceptional Kyusu was created by Master Shunju using Tokoname clay. Tokoname is one of Japan’s six ancient ceramic centers. High-quality ceramics have been produced here since the 12th century. The clay, which contains particularly iron, can be fired at up to 1200 degrees Celsius.
This particular Kyusu was painted with earthy colors and a floral pattern. This elegant teapot has an integrated sieve which runs all around. This type of sieve is particularly suitable for quick and controlled pouring of the tea as it can be virtually impossible to clog. This Kyusu has a volume of 300ml and is particularly suitable for Japanese green tea.
